Venite Adoremus is a faith group for men in Mansfield and the surrounding areas. They meet twice a month for fellowship and twice a month for Eucharistic adoration. At their one-and-a-half hour fellowship meetings, they watch an episode from the innovative Catholic television show Crossing the Goal and break into small discussion groups to talk about its impact.
Each meeting starts at 7:00. All the men join as a group to call upon the Holy Spirit in the opening prayer. Following that, the 30-minute video begins, and they all grab a chair to enjoy the program on a large outdoor projector (in warm weather) or a wall-sized high-definition indoor flat-screen (in cold weather).
Following the video, the men divide into smaller groups of four to six to discuss how they can apply the video in their lives and how they’ve been doing since last time. This provides a meaningful opportunity to talk about things that men don’t often have an opportunity to discuss. Near 8:30, they come back together to ask for intercession and pray the Lord’s Prayer as the meeting closes.
